METODOLOGY

The collaborative performative work with each participant forms the basis of the creation. The documentary videos created in this way create an opportunity for this work to appear in the public space.

participatory

The project is open to anyone who wants to contribute to the social discourse on motherhood.

2

the principle of co-creation

The participants enter the project process as equal partners, in a position of partnership.

The documentary films produced are the result of a joint creation.

3

the form

The visual representation of the films uses the cinematic language typical of documentaries or portraits, as it aims to draw attention to a data gap. Hungarian health care providers do not collect and analyse women's feedback on their experiences in the obstetric system, which could form the basis for quality assurance.

In social science research methodology, the interview as a form of data collection is used, and this visualization evokes this.

4

performing art

However, working with a participant is not an interview, but a performance situation in which the participant is the performer and I am the only spectator. In the process, I do not ask questions, I do not comment, I do not declare my own opinion, I only experience the story presented by the storyteller as a spectator of a performance. I record the performance on camera and then edit it before it is made public.

(Unless the participant - performer decides otherwise.)

5

the principle of co-creation also in post-production

During the editing process, I am in constant consultation with the participant. Publication will only take place after acceptance by the participant and the participant has the right to take down the video at any time.

6

All walks of life

Throughout the project, I aim to connect with people from all walks of life.

7

sitespecific

The project is presented exclusively on youtube.com, a community video collection site. As it is a 0-24 hours, from anywhere, free platform.
